VA State Statute
You may not bring children
other than your own to the Club’s KidZone unless
you have written permission. Parents or legal
caregivers must remain in the club the entire time
that the child is in the KidZone.
Checking In - Checking Out
Parents and/or legal caregivers are responsible for the checking in and checking out of their children. The KidZone staff reserves the right to ask you as the parent to show identification at the point of checkout. When checking your child in please let the attendants know of any special needs your child may have (allergies, potty training, needing to be fed, etc).
At the discretion of the attendant, if a child is disruptive, the parent will be requested to assist in calming the child or remove the child from the KidZone.
Food, Snacks, Drinks
We would appreciate if you can feed your child before visiting The KidZone. Though, foods or snacks are allowed within the KidZone with the exception of any foods with nut products. Please provide a list of any allergens your child may have so we know if there will be any interactions.
Provisions Needed
Infants and toddlers will need to be provided with
extra diapers, wipes and a spillproof
cup or bottle for
juice/water. Please clearly label your child’s diaper
bag and all cups or bottles (we have labels we can
provide) with their first and last name. Labels are
provided by the KidZone staff. We encourage kids
to wear “pull ups” when being potty trained.
Please make the staff aware if your child is in the process of potty training.
Illness
Burke Racquet & Swim Club reserves the right to refuse your child entrance into the KidZone if they show signs of illness. These signs include, but are not limited to the following: rash, diarrhea, coughing, fever, thick and/or colored nasal discharge, head lice, any communicable disease (i.e. Strep throat, Chicken Pox, Impetigo, Conjunctivitis) or has vomited in the past 24 hours.
If your child has been confined at home with a communicable disease or an extended illness, a note may be requested before allowing your child to return to the KidZone. Re-admittance is at the discretion of the KidZone staff. Please understand that these rules are implemented for the well being of all the children and our staff.
